Question Diesel engine isssues at high altitudes?

Sorry if this has been asked before. Got this from another forum as a potential problem with the 450 smart cdis - some sort of limit of 2600 meters altitude due to fuel cooling/fuel boiling with less than a full tank. I didn't notice anything about this in our E320 owners manual - anything to be concerned about with the M-B diesels?

Not a bit.

Turbo makes up most of the difference and should experience minimal power loss.

Will get better fuel economy due to less air resistance.

I understood the issue would be excessive fuel heating instead of power loss. The CDI high pressure pump creates a lot of heat and other models at least have a fuel cooler. Could it be that this is not present on the Smart?

Mike Tee posted the info on SCoA and hopefully he can weigh in on the 450 smart cdi set up and restrictions. In this case, I was simply trying to ensure there's no altitude issue with our E320.
