Need help with my new mercedes.

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and so far i really loved seeing people helping each other.

I recently bought a 2004 c240 4matic sedan, but i know nothing about it.

First of, I have no idea what the "Tape" button does since there's only a CD player. Also i was wondering if there's another way to listen to my own music without using the CD's. I've heard that Itrip is not working so well and always makes weird sounds. Anyway, I must say I'm loving the car so far it drives smoothly and everything about it is just perfect. If there's any tips u guys could give me about the car and things I probably do not know I'd really appreciate that and of curse answer my two questions.

thank u very much,

Hello Max and welcome to the forum. MB calls your car a W203 and there is a dedicated forum for those. Just scroll down from this general forum and look for the sedans section. Also there is a Audio & Telematics dedicated forum found in the technical section. I think you will get quicker answers to your respective questions in those two places. Good luck.

p.s. If you have an owner's manual, read it. If not you can probably order one from MBUSA (800-FOR-MERC) or find one on eBay.

Welcome to the forum. Register your car at Mercedes-Benz USA - Owners Online and that suppose to give you access to manuals. They are good for few years only, so copy one on your hard drive.
As MM pointed -go to proper section for more detailed support. Just to let you know that even MB changes the bodies every few years, they do change electronics and switches every year, so sometimes you have to find a member with the exact MY to compare. Even MM and me are driving the same W210 bodies, his car being 2 or 3 years younger has wheel switches and quite different dashboard.

Your head unit may look like mine. When you press "tape", on the display, it should show "EJ" for eject. Press the button right below the EJ display, the small door should open so you can insert a cassette tape.
