Question Winter Storage

I will be stroring my 2003 SL 500 in my garage for the winter and intend to trickle charge the batteries. Anyone know if I need to charge the battery under the hood, in the trunk or both? Any advice appreciated.

I would just disconnect the battery if the car is stored for many months. Make sure you have the radio code.
On my car, there's only 1 nut to remove to disconnect the battery, it's located on the lower right rear backseat.

I second this opinion but would like to further ad that you can also buy a battery cutoff switch for $2-10 and can cut power easily anytime without tools. This is especially helpful when performing many maintenance tasks that require a battery disconnect.
