I purchased a Mercedes 320 cdi elegance in June 2010 the car is a 2003 model w211 80,000 miles.
since that date I have had numerous faults.
1 drivers external mirror sometimes does not open and led indicator is permanently dead not solved.

2 Battery dead have bought new one £170 with fitting.

3 Both front suspension springs broken replaced under 6 month warranty.

4 last 3 weeks drivers central locking knob bounces and sometimes does not unlock this seems worse with current cold spell.

5 warning that convenience items have been switched off to protect low battery, checked with Mercedes told if only i do local runs (100 per week) i should occasionally use a trickle charger funny its a new battery.

(ignoring the faults it is a great ride, and is better than my previous 5 series)
would be grateful for anyone's advice on above.

Welcome to Benzworld and have someone check the car for power loss, this is done by connecting an ohm meter between the negative battery connector and the negative battery pole.
