Looking at buying a 2001 ML320

Looking at buying a 2001 ML320 with 116,000. The car has not a spot of rust and runs smoothly (no clunks, rattles ect.) They have all of the records for it and it is in great shape. Is $9,500 a far price for it. This would be my first Mercedes. Thanks

Get yourself familiar with the truck reading W163 section. Those truck, being first affordable electronically controlled cars on US marked had lot of problems with repairs.
IMHO mechanics learned new technology on customer's wallet, but that might be only part of the story. Our 99 ML320 is the most flawless car I heard about. Only $300 in needed parts in 12 years. Plus $100 for replacement battery couple months ago,.

Check the records to see if the catalytic converters have been changed. Have a pre-purchase inspection done at an independant mercedes shop. These are great vehicles if you are willing to do some of the work yourself. We have owned 2 and have been happy.
