40C is not hot. I go on Nevada deserts with 50C (130F) almost every year. Those cars have very good cooling systems, so you not suppose to have any problems with it.
Some African countries don't have premium gasoline, but we have a member who drive ML55 AMG on regular just fine for years.
Depends of climate there the rust can be the biggest issue. Years ago my father was send to Algeria. Even he was tens of miles from the Sea, the new Toyota had holes in the hood after 3 years. His friend shipped his classic from California and was crying that the rust free car in California for 20 years was rotten overnight in Algeria.
Take good supply of air and fuel filters.

Ditto to everything Kajtek1 wrote. Just to add: I would contact the Libyan embassy or consulate to ask about import taxes, required safety equipment, and so on. For example, you might have to have a minimum number of miles on the car so they consider it as a used car. The USA has stipulations in that regard.

First thing you gotta do is paint "Allah save the jamahiriya!" in large green letters on the sides. The second thing you gotta do is paint "Allah save Col. Kaddhafi!" in large green letters on the tailgate. The last thing you gotta do is paint "Death to America and specifically any and all iteration of the F-111!" in large green letters on the hood.

Once you do all that, you'll be fine.

fly should know what he is talking about. See the results of his error of not doing the above?
Look at his airplane in the signature. The one in right background.
Sorry for offtopic

Remove all advserse legislation introduced by politicians since 1920 which have not been agreed to under referendum by the people. Ensure Australian laws have precidence over any international laws and that laws are consistent between all states and territories. Make politicians answerable and accountable for all misrepresentations.
