replace E350 6.9 with 5 cylinder turbo MB?

Has anyone replaced the 6.9 (E350) with a 5 cylinder turbo MB?

Planning to do this swap in the near future.

Boy, are you confused!

There's no such thing as a 1986 E350 and anything that's "E350" has no relationship to "6.9."

......One ton Ford Econoline van with a 'non-turbo' 6.9 International v8 diesel.

I want to 'burn' veggie oil' instead of diesel fuel and according 'to most' the '80-'85 MB 5 cylinder diesels 'are indestructible' -in relation to running veggie oil.

Hey lkchris, I used to live in Albuquerque (prolly 1987-to 1988, then to Denver). My sister and her retired military husband live there, -beautiful city!
