Trying to resurrect a 2003 CLK 430
The car is a salvage, because it was sunk in water.
I figure the ECM is dead/fried.
Today I drained the block, let out about a gallon of water before oil, then ran 4 gallons of kerosene through, put in new oil and filter.
I went to try and start it - had to charge up the battery, was dead... and the key wont turn in the ignition.
Does anyone have suggestions/hints/tips?
Is there a "trip" switch in the trunk somewhere for post-accidents, etc?
If the ECM is fried, would that cause the smartkey to not turn?
Any other ideas that I can try short of a new key or cylinder?
