Angry A160 BAS / ESP Cable Short

Hi Guys, ok yes i am another with the dreaded /ESP error. So far i have changed battery, brake sensor, checked wheel sensor and i'm pretty sure i have found the issue!!!!!

The error was showing something to do with earthing (cant remember what as i thought i have fixed it 4 or 5 times by now, as its been intermittent), anyway ive just removed the ECU to check if this is the issue and found....

The main wiring loop that runs behind it has rubbed the outer sheaf and worn 1 of the wires protective plastic sheaf down to bear wire!!!

I can only see 1 wire damaged so its not shorting, but i guess it could effect the electrical signal if the wire has thinned (which it has)...

So my challenge now is - how do you repair the wire without effecting the through signal.

PS im a helicopter tech, so please excuse my lack of vehicle knowledge. in avionics we just have to replace any loom, which is NOT what i want to do on my poorly car.

All help welcome!!

repairing the wire is cake. cut out the damaged section of wiring and solder in a new wire. if the repair is done good your signal will be fine.
