Arrow convertible top quality and cost

I have a 2000 CLK320 that has one seam coming loose by the back glass area and I have just about decided to replace it.

What brand would give the longest service?

What can I look foward to paying for a new top install?

Should I purchase a new top from one of the on-line retailers and then pay to have it installed or just pay the extra money and have the installer do the whold thing?

What questions should I ask the installer to verify he knows how to install a mercedes top?

How long should I expect the car to be in the shop for a top replacement?

I have hear good things about the Robbins tops are they worth the extra $200 ?

Thanks

You car is 10 years old and is baking in the hot FL sun. If your OEM top lasted as long as it did, why are you looking for alternatives? You should probably ask your questions on the W208 forum so you can reach more actual owners more quickly. Good luck.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply
I put the posting hear because Mercedes makes about 20 diffrent soft top cars and I wanted a broad opinion.

I posted the questions I asked because of lack of knowlege. I do not know the ins and outs of the Mercedes soft tops and I was hoping someone more knowlegable than me would reply, that would be most anyone.

The questions I hoped would generate some soft top discussion but I guess not or I worded the questions wrong to get a discussion going.

I do thank you for your response....

Thanks
