clk320 cd 6 stacker problem

Hey there!
New to the forum!

I own a 2000 CLK320 and have a problem that has been on my mind to fix for a while, so im deciding to do it now. My dad took the car one day and accidently spilt water all over my CD 6 stacker in the boot and it doesnt work..
Does anyone have any solutions to this?? I live in Australia and can't seem to find anyone who can fix this?

Sometimes if your lucky you can take a blow dryer and try to get the moisture out of the unit. The problem is that water and electrical components don't
mix and the accident may have ruined your system. If the blow dryer doesn't
work then you will probable have to replace the unit.

Good luck

What's the symptom? "No magazine", "no CD", or what message is displayed on the head unit's screen?
My CD changer got constant power to it because it could eject or load the cartridge when the key is not in the ignition. So if water spills into it, the damage can be done instantly unless there's a separate fuse for it. Check the fuse diagram under the hood, on the driver's side dashboard (on the side) and under the back seat.
Around here, I see used CD changer goes for $200-$300.
