Post 93 300E

Hi

Does anyone know what the sticker sticker price was for the 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300E 2.8L 6-cyl?

It was around $44-45k but I bought one in the summer of 93 for $36k as they had huge incentives late in the model year. The 3.2 was around $50k list. But then they lowered prices big time in 1994 to $42,500 for the E320.

I always chuckle over the sales ads touting the original purchase price of the car, as if that has anything to do with it's current market value. A 1993 300E generally has a benchmark price of about $2,000, a 2.8 may be a little lower. The likelihood of wiring harness issues could lower that further.

Maybe yes, maybe not.
How many 17 years old cars that cost originally $10-20k do you still see pampered or at least on the road driven daily?

Problem is most of the 17-year old Mercedes on the road have NOT been pampered, but even if they have they're still all due for some major work that will cost more than their value.

You should come to where I live. I see 30-40 years old Mercedes in pristine condition with full wax job parked at my grocery story every day.
I also do see 20 years old Toyotas... khm.
