P0161 and P0141

Kind'a newbie especially to posting but here goes...

2000 ML320 Base model loaded with everything but navigation
245K Miles to date and going strong

Issue now is p0161 and p0141. Issue was rough idle and stalling intermittently. So, I changed the plugs and wires figured it was about time anyway. Also, cleaned the engine which was probubly not good but looks much better. Anyway, I started receiving codes p0161, p0141, and another code can't remember what it was but relating to air flow. So I cleaned EGR tube for the second time since I owned the car (bought the car w/45k on it 6 years ago). First time tube cleaning was at 140K and it was totally plugged. This time it wasn't plugged but cleaned it any way. Didn't resolve the issue. So, thought stalling was CPS so I changed CPS and the car runs great and idles great and no stalling. Good power and good fuel consumption. Drove for a while and now only getting codes p0161 and p0141. Both of which refer to post cat sensors.

1) Could this be the EGR valve?
2) Is it crazy to think that both sensors would go bad at the same time?
3) Could this be related to the fact that I used platinum 2 plugs vs the OEM platinums?
4) Since the codes are post cat could this be a vacum leak somewhere?

I don't want to start throughing new cats or sensors on this if it could be related to some simple which my experience with this vehicle it usually is. One cat is original and the other is newer. Sensors are original equiptment and I also check the the aux air blower (thing that heats the cats when cold) is working.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated and I will follow the post through when I find the issue.

p0141/p0161 is oxygen sensor heater, left or right downstream oxygen sensor, internal resistor. Also could be the sensor voltage supply, crazy things do happen that both would go bad at the same time.
