Post i could use some advice.

I now own my dream car, 1986 300sdl grey over what I like to call “ox blood” I have had for 5 years now, she was deemed the mothership the day I bought her from Lloyds of High Point NC, His shop for those of you that have not been lucky enough to visit, is like a candy store for people that want to buy and older MB that may or may not run. He has a metal building full of cars, he can walk through with you and tell you which car he thinks is right for you. The mothership is the third car I have bought from him. I have driven MB most of my life. I think being behind the wheel of a MB is one of the greatest experiences in the world. So let’s get to the point. When I bought my car, I like so many people say visions of her all painted and in pristine condition. Her body is clean and I have every receipt she has ever had. Anyway back to the point.

I am a woman and believe it or not mechanics still treat me like shit even though I know some of the things I am talking about. I need help from you experts out there, I have been taken advantage of sooooo many times and now have a car that I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on and am still not ahead. I just got her tranny replaced with one I bought form ADSIT. WOW! That was a nightmare. I have decided to try and use this forum to get advice. My project right now, well the three I am working on are, replacing both the lens and the bulb on my headlights. She was in the shop so long that water was in her left headlamp causing it to short out. So I bought two lens and bulbs and want to put them in myself. Her speedometer just stopped working and I would like to tackle that myself, and lastly I want to get my sunroof opened, the turn handle in the trunk is stripped.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Welcome ! Sad to hear that mercedes-benz mechanics are ripping you off.. Could you post any pictures of the cars current condition and the new parts you have bought? I might be able to supply some step-to-step guides to get you there..
