Good Evening and Thank You!
I'm so excited to find myself the proud owner of a 1990 300se. I found this beauty parked on a dirt lot with a barely noticabe for sale sign in the dash.
Upon contacting the seller I found this car was given to him to settle a debt. He had no interest and just wanted the cash. Turns out the guy was the original owner and the car has been so well maintained that it came with all original documentation and The original dealer service records. He maintained this gem by the book even better changing the oil every 2500 miles. This automobile is as close to physically flawless as I have ever seen. An easy 9 out of 10.
All that said I do find some things that are cause for concern and I am hoping to draw on the vast pool of knowledge and experience here.
#1 when leaving the driveway fist thing in the morning the car sticks in first gear for about 100 yards or so before it shifts. Once it has done this it fine as long as it's warm.
#2 also when first starting the car weather warm or cold it runs rough for about one min (cold) 15 seconds (hot) then it runs smooth as silk.
Those are my main concerns at this point. Since I am new to this I hope I am going about asking for help I'm the proper way.
Any and all help and instruction is greatfully appreciated. I look forward to educating myself with your help about one of the coolest top of the line luxury cars ever built.
Thank you in advance.
