99 SL500 turn signal flashing too fast

Hello everybody
I have been fighting a small but annoyng problem on my SL500 that I got this summer.
Both turn signal (Left and right) are flashing too fast. (180 Hz)
The Hazard lights flash normally (90Hz)
I replaced all bulbs, check grounds, replaced the combination module that controls the turn signal.
Has anyone an idea on what to look for?

I had this in my 95 E320. Easy fix! Well sort of. After already replacing all 9 bulbs in the rear light clusters, and re-spreading the ground connectors (2 per light cluster) i then found that one of my front blinkers was not making good contact. The socket that the front blinker sits in spreads. (perhaps over time - too much) I used needle nose plyers to re-crimp the socket, cleaned bulb and socket with electric cleaner spray, applied some electrostatic compound and no more fast blink!!! Sorry for all the enthusiasm, but fixing any auto electric problem always makes me feel great.
