"Piston Slap" Normal for the 5 liter engine?

Hi,

I have a 2006 ML500 with 35k miles and the engine lightly taps when I fist start it up in the morning. It's usually gone by the time I get to the end of the street. I've had a Corvette and 2 GM trucks that did the same thing and was always told that this is normal. I wasn't expecting it with a Mercedes, but if it's normal it doesn't bother me.

Thanks,

Rob
