Tint % suggestions for R500

I just purchased a 2006 R500 and I want to tint the front two windows to match the rest of the vehicle. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best percentage? I took a long look at the vehicle today and I think 20% may be too dark to match the rest of the windows, but, I am not sure.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Darkest you can legally go is 32 on the front. Rear is most likely 25, but that is exempt from the law.

Thank you . . . yeah, I was thinking that the back couldn't be darker than 20% - it just looks a little too light . . .

Well, I found out this morning that my R500 has double pane windows on the driver's door and front passenger door . . . so, any tint behind it will give a shiny, metallic look on the outside, which is what the previous owner did . . . so, in order to get a good match with the back, I have to have them removed and replaced with single pane, tempered glass . . .

Anyone know anyone looking for double pane, laminated windows for a R350 or R500?

By the way, my tint guy says the back windows are 19.5% . . . planning on putting 20% up front . . .

20% would be illegal. I guess the previous owner tinted over the factory tint to make it illegally darker? The factory would not have 19.5.

Yes, it is. However, I've never had a problem with having my front two windows at 20% before. In fact, the last 3 SUVs we've owned have had 20% on the driver's door and front passenger door and we never once got stopped/ticketed. (knock on wood) LOL

I live in Georgia though and they may be a little more lenient down here . . .

And yes, the previous owner for some odd reason tinted "behind" the laminated/double pane windows up front I guess to make it darker and while it is, it gives a shiny, metallic look from the outside looking in. It definitely doesn't match the rest of the windows on the car and kind of looks tacky.

My tint guy said the back windows were 19.5% . . . I don't know if they're that dark, but hey, I'm not a professional either, so . . .
