Two different dealers can't fix car

Couldn't turn key, car wouldn't start. Towed to dealer #1, spent $2,000 on key, ignition switch and steering lock plus $600 to tow. Drove car two weeks, same thing again this time 400 miles from home. Called roadside assistance, they towed to nearest Mercedes dealer and they kept my car 40 days. Replaced same parts again, cost me $300, the rest was warrantied. Got car back full of scratches. Drove car a week, same thing again at least this time I was at home. These dealers are telling me they are getting bad parts. Can this be happening? No fuses are blown. This is a 1999 C-280. Love the car, drives great, great gas mileage. I realize that electrical problems can be frustrating to fix, but has anyone else had a problem like this? Thanks for any help.

This is the general forum. Try asking on your vehicle specific one and I think you have a W203. Check under the sedans section and you will figure that part out.
