I but Im mad so I thought I would vent and sound off at the poor quality/craftmanship and terrible customer relations that MB offers.......I drive an 04 E320 Sport with less than 69k miles, always maintained and kept very clean.
In my opinion your car did pretty good for a Mercedes. Your car is 6 years old and you are dealing with some interior trim problems which admittedly are rather uncommon in non-lunary vehicles.
I have 2006 CLS which had less than 40000 miles back in 2009, and was still under warranty. I had following problems so far (I am cannot recall some other minor ones)
Polish on the interior trim started coming off in 2008 so some trim items were replaced.
Rattling in driver door, fixed under MB issued TSB.
Oil leak in engine through valve covers or something like that, fixed under TSB.
Harsh downshifts on slow speed since getting the car, which I thought was the standard feature of German engineering. Later on the car developed slipping transmission on Interstate (car stuck in 3rd gear), it was really scary. MB says they did not find any problem on two separate visits to dealership. Still having harsh downshifts.
Stinky smell from the AC, which dealer claimed to have fixed under a TSB. Still getting stinky smell periodically, dealer claims now that it is normal. I had to place multiple air fresheners in vehicle, and I try to turn off AC few minutes before parking the car.
Screeching front left window, I usually try avoid rolling it up or down.
So you haven't seen much in term of Poor Craftmanship/Quality/Service. All I can say is: welcome to the club.
