Would you replace these tires?

These are Goodyear tires, three years old with 28,000 miles on them. The cracking/dry rot in them have me concerned. I would lean to replace them even though they are still showing about 6/32nds of tread. What are your thoughts?

6/32nds is only about 50% wear (new is 10/32nds, done is 2/32nds)

However that rubber looks 'perished' - even at the base of the tread, and I would ditch the tire. My opinion is that the manufacture is defective for the rubber to degrade in such a manner before it is worn out. Maybe a bad batch here.

What does you tire supplier say about this condition?

How do you know they are 3 years old? Read the DOT number to confirm.
There is no way tire can deteriorate that much in 3 years even parked on desert. If it did it is manufacturing defect and subject to recall.

I'd replace them. As the others have said...they look older than three years. :2cents:

Thanks for the replies guys. My initial reaction was that they needed to be replaced too, but I've never run into this situation before. Date code on the tires is '07 and they came new on the car, so they are in fact three years old.
