Best Time to Buy?

I'm planning to buy an '08 CLS from a local dealer. We were trying to figure out if we purchase now (just before the end of the month) or wait until next month to get a better deal. Any advice?

The best time to buy a CLS is never. You can do a lot better for your money. I would highly recommend stepping up into a new E or an a used S. Both are much, much better cars for your money and won't constantly break. I do know you are smart because you came on here to ask before you purchased, instead of complaining afterwords like so many people do..... good choice!

Oh no! You burst my bubble. I've been dreaming about this car for the last 5 years. Is "constantly breaking" what most CLS drivers have experienced?

Yes it is. Check the reliability data, the forums, and just sit inside the car. The build quality is low and the design is outdated for the price. Wait until the all-new 2011 CLS comes out. It will be light-years better. The old CLS is not a good car for the money and it is super repair prone. Getting into a used S (2007+) class or a new E class would both be much better bets. They are both MUCH better built and much more reliable.

This is a little about the new CLS. Typically, major changes like this cause the price of the previous model to plummet.
