New here-nut this forum was pretty helpful for me-ill post my trouble with 2000 c280

The car had p0700 and p 0715 codes on after reading with the regular scanner.
(check engine light was on of course)
Transmission was stuck in limp mode-i guess what they call hard mode. It would start in 2nd gear and stay there.
I read that its a 722.6 trans on this cars and a nice member posted lots of info for it.
long story short based on my research the plate conductor inside the trans was faulty for some reason.
to take it out you lift the car up remove the trans oil panel carefully after draining it remove the plug of the trans its got an annoying 8 mm bolt inside it and is located on the right side of the car under the passenger sort of.
you go ahead removing the valve body its got about 8 screws i think and take it out carefully.
some members recommended surgical cleanliness in order not to let any dust particles in the oil or valve body.
On top of the valve body is the plate counductor that holds all the solenoids on it...its basically just a plate the plays the role of the wires...I used the old solenoids and put them back on the new plate.
reassembeled all together and put it back on.
It all woked great but you will need to do the reset with a anap on tool or otc or mercedes reseter.
good luck !
the part was 100$ and also it was recommended to change the connector plug too with it..was 10$
