First Benz! First Diesel! Saying hello from texas

Hey guys! My name is Austin and I'm a bartender here in San Antonio, that explains my posting so early in the morning. I recently purchased what I think is a good example of a 1987 300d. The owner, who was very straight forward about the car when selling it to me, claims it has 182k miles. The Odo quit at 152k miles. He had very detailed fuel records to back this up. The A/C is out but from what I've read here is very common for this year... The last owner installed euro spec headlights and tails as well as AMG 17" wheels that corner on bilstein suspension, still had the original Bilstein box as well as the original shocks. Included in the sale was a cardboard box full of parts, and i mean the box was full! various gaskets, dash l.e.d.s, new a/c dash module, all original MB with reciepts. The car came with full paperwork and service records for everything that was ever serviced...ever. He even had the original primary, secondary, valet, and flat key. this thing was babied until 3 years ago when he put it in storage.

He was going to give it to his son but the kid wanted a truck. Lucky me! I picked up this machine for $2,800, what I think is more than a fair price. So check out the pics and please tell me I got a deal. The interior is in great condition prob 9/10. will post interior pics later. The exterior is prob 8/10, the clear is flaking but i already have an appointment to get the whole car sanded and re-clear-coated
