Need help with possible rare car.

Im wondering if anybody here could possibly help me with determining if the car I have come in possession of is worth any real value.
This car came in to my possession after a death so I dont really know the history for sure myself but This is what was sent to me about the car.

"The Mercedes was once a very special car in it's day. It's fitted with Mercedes' top line limousine engine. Only a few hundred were built each year. It looks just like a standard 450 SELL but costs twice as much, more even than a Rolls Royce. It has a self leveling suspension, anti-lock brakes and is capable of over 180 mph. All this is quite commonplace today, but it was the only car that had this stuff 30 years ago. That particular car was once owned by the Saudi embassy in Washington and because of which it was also armored. "

Now this car is in very ruff condition as it has been sitting since 1990, I believe it only has 73k miles but has a bit of rust from sitting outside. Is this car of any real value or just a car to scrap. Also Could the story be true or just a bunch of bs.

It takes only one buyer who would pay the price to make it valuable.
Good luck finding such a buyer. Any pictures? Sounds interesting, but IMHO nobody would park valuable car for 20 years and let it corrode.

If it was "special" it wouldn't have been sitting and rusting since 1990.

It's indeed a clunker ready for scrapping.

Sounds like a 6.9. Valuable and collectible if in driveable or nicer condition. Unfortunately, this one sounds like a parts car.

Ditto the 6.9 likelihood. Ditto too, the high probability that the car is good for nothing but parts. All the pneumatics are almost certainly scrap, the rubber is gone, the engine is likely frozen as is the transmission. I expect you have some sheet metal and perhaps some interior parts that may be saleable, but not much more.

Good luck with your find.
