paper crimpling cabin noise

Hello, I have a 2010 GLK 350 4Matic with 3000 miles. I recently noticed a new cabin noise when driving at any speed and in any gear. It sounds like a "paper crimpling". This is sound is very slight but everso annoying. Especially when the radio and AC is off. What I find to be very odd is that this "paper crimpling" noise goes away when it is raining outside, i.e., when the road is wet.

What gives?
Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Have a service tech ride with you from your dealer so he/she can hear the noise for themselves and pinpoint it. You have a warranty. Go use it.

That's an unusual noise for a car. There's probably someone or something in your car crimpling paper - maybe a racoon under the seat. Why he would want to crimple paper I don't know.

Probably a BMW raccoon trying to sabotage the Merc name. Why they'd employ raccoons, I don't know
