Has my turbo packed up?
Some advice please. I have a 2003 ML270 which has 75k miles and a full service history, recently I have noticed that it is under powdered and was wondering what the signs are of a faulty turbo, there is no noises and the engine seems to be running just fine. The problem is intermittent but what happens is that when I go to overtake, or pull away quickly the car doesn't respond as it used to. It can be quite embarrassing when trying to overtake as the power is just not there, but like I said it is intermittent so sometimes overtaking is pulling away quickly is not a problem.
If it isn't the turbo, what else is it likely to be - injectors, glow plugs etc etc etc???
Would the problem be diagnosed if I called out the RAC as I am a member, or would it be better to take to a local garage?
Any advice appreciated, and thanks for any replies/advice I get.
