FSS reset for w211 and nearly all others

I had trouble figuring out how to reset the FSS service indicator after I performed my own oil change. I searched this forum but nothing that I found actually worked.

I found this site after a few months of on and off searching. It was spot on and seems to be linked to MB somehow.

In the interest of contributing to this forum that has helped me so much, here it the site:

UPDATED LINK

http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/doclist.jsp

Click "Service reset indicator" on the left and a menu of choices appear.

I don't know about anyone else, but my after scouring the manual the best I could find was "consult your MB dealer"

Thank you for your contribution.

It's been covered once or twice before.

If it has boobs or pistons, it's gonna be expensive.

I figured - but I could not find anything this specific here- so That I would toss it in one more time and make it a little more findable. Better twice than not at all.

I have this exact same question for my 2002 C230k and couldn't find answer here either. A re-posting of the answer would be GREATLY appreciated.

Look on the left and click on the "reset service indicator" choice. You will get a huge menu of PDF- mine was absolutely perfect. Good Luck- glad I was able to help someone.
