tools to remove air bag on w210 1997

the sticky says a torx 30 but had trouble getting it in and looking up there. does anyone know if it is a staight torx or one with a pin in the middle.

want to tighten the loose switch assy

This pic from the WIS of the required tool looks like a normal Torx with 6 flutes.

Right!

I wondered later if your problem here is because a previous owner has damaged the head of the bolt using the wrong tool. Does a mirror + flashlight help you see the details?
