Dial in glovebox?

My C-300 has a round movable dial in the glove box and I can't find anywhere in the manual what it is for? Any help would be appreciated.

Odd, I did not find the instructions from the US manual (I may well have missed those too) but the Euro manual explains this clearly:

Interactive Owner's Manual [In depth | Climate control | Adjusting the air vents]

I've never heard of a dial govebox before... My CLK doesn't have that, but it's probably because it's old.

My CLK (W209) does have an a/c inlet in the central armrest/storage unit.

Great for keeping the chocolates cold!
