Thank you for the response
Thank you for the response. And thank you for letting me know there is a specific 129 area of the forum.
I did not get the fault code myself, it was determined by a local trusted shop. Basically, they told me the code indicated the ETA. That is all I know at this point. I know the ASR and ABS lights are on after you start to move once the car is started and put in drive then moving a few miles per hour. They also mentioned the wheel speed sensors are good, but they didn't check the rear sensors. Thank you also for indicating that this model did not have the wiring issue...are you confident of this (9/91 500SL convertible). It was only what I heard might be a likely suspect. I did however open up a small portion of the wiring outer cover to a device in the front middle of the engine which seems to control through a series of mechanical rods some mechanical things on the rear of each bank of the V8. The wiring looked pristine, absolutely new with talc powder and brilliant colors on the insulation unlike any pictures of the bad wiring I have seen.
Sooo, I will start to search the 129 area...assuming I can find it, lol.
Thank you again,
