Didnt realise that Automatics could stall??

Hi
I bought my Mercedes C200 Kompressor about 3 months ago (53 reg) and so far, love it. However, on a couple of occasions, when I have had to brake sharply I have felt the engine struggling as if it was going to cut out. Today, it actually stalled (whilst in Drive mode!). Is this normal as I was told you couldn't stall an automatic? It is still under the warranty that the garage gave me so I just wondered if this was something that needed checking out?
Thanks in advance to anyone that could give me some advice.
Lou

It absolutely should be checked out. There are many possible causes and the shop should be able to plug in a code reader and do some diagnostics.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, as such details can be useful:

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

Hi,
Thanks for your quick response (sorry, have been away for a couple of days so didnt see it immediately). I will give the garage a quick ring tomorrow and arrange to take it in. .
