'95 S500 - power windows

I recently had my '95 S500 left rear view mirror replaced; original was broken off while I was parked at an event. After installation by my mechanic, the replaced mirror looks and works great, however now my power windows do not work. They all go down fine, on rising I have to hit the up button switch multiple times as mirror goes up 1/8 to 1/4 inch at a time. I have being going to this mechanic for years. A big shop not MB but good and honest and has worked on all family cars. He will look at it however; I wanted to see if anyone had ideas on this
