Navigation system problem -want to go from V8 to original disc- wont work
I have an SLK 350 - 2007.
I had a previous version (the original version) of the Nav DVD in the trunk for my navigation system. A few months ago, I purchased the newer updated V8 DVD disc. All works very well.
MY Problem: I am returning the SLK 350 for my lease is up in a few days, and I want to keep my V8 DVD software disc. I hence would like to put the original DVD NAV disc in the system, but it does not seem to recognize it anymore...I presume there was updated software in the V8 which makes the system have a hard time going back to its original version. IT just says, ''please insert DVD Nav disc in trunk''
What should I do? Is there some kind of factory reset? I presume the original drivers and software are on the original DVD? which mean I could reload them..???
Or should I just let the dealer do this....
I will not leave them the Version 8, because I bought it on ebay, and once I got it, I could see it was a copy... so I dont want to leave a copy in the car... get it
