Post should i buy this 98 e320?

Ray's Auto Sales¬* -¬* (818) 974-6226

the picture shows maintenance missing for 210 days. now it's showing some 300++

the car looks ok. the only thing not working is the sunroof (engine spins and the glass jumps in it's place. probably some plastic joint broken) and the lining on the sunroof is peeling badly.

Anything else i should look in the car before i waste yet another 150 on the PPI?

If you don't know anything about MB, nothing about a good PPI is a waste. Either it will confirm there are no major issues, it will find deal killers, or it will find other things that enable you to negotiate a better deal.

That said, you posted in the general forum about a specific model. Best to post in the W210 sedan forum, because there is a WEALTH of information about the chassis, including a thread in the help stickies called "common issues" started by a former mod. That will highlight some of the, er, common issues.

Happy shopping.

Even if everything checks out fine in PPI, IMO the price should definitely start with a 5, not 6.

Not sure how familiar you are with W210's, but you might want to follow Greg's suggestion and read up on them in the W210 section. Just so you know what you are getting yourself into.

Good luck!

Peeling clear coat is going to be major headache. Any cracks on dashboard?
Otherwise nice car, although overpriced. Rare option of electric shades, maybe there is more?
The 100k miles drive-train warranty for $1400 sounds good.
