The Fan Belt

Good day All! Where can I find a diagram of the fan belt "layout" for a mercedes "classic 1998 model (box'er shape)". We stripped the belt whilst driving, have purchased a replacement from the dealer, but don't quite know the path the belt should follow!! Is there a site that shows where the belt should be threaded?
Many thanks, it was fantasic to stumble upon this site!

You're going to have to tell us what engine and model you refer to here, as this is the General M-B forum. There are many referred to as 'classic'......

All good points.

If you are being consistent with both "classic" references in your profile and your post, then you're talking about the C240, which would be the V6 M112. Below is the layout for that routing.

However, it's rare that belts just fail, so carefully inspect the various rotating accessories and pay special attention to the idler pulley, tensioner and harmonic balancer. Replace any that are not up to snuff, or you'll be doing this again (and perhaps more!) quite soon.

Good luck.
