Model year 2011

Not sure if this is relevant or even news worthy. We have officially started the 2011 models for the R-Class, M-Class, and GL. The 1st customer R-Class rolled off the line Tuesday morning. I can't tell you when they will ship though. Just thought some of you might want to know.

June-July is typically the model year changeover date for all Mercedes plants.

yep, this week was the date I was given for my ordered '11 ML. When Diamond White availability was announced, I changed my order and the build date was moved to August since the color wasn't going to be available then. A couple of weeks later MB changed the cost premium on this color from $720 to $1515. Screw that! I deleted diamond white and am now back in the queue for late July.

Jeez, what a ludicrous upcharge for paint.
I wouldn't pay it either.

Paint job is what will make the car standing up in the crowd of the same models.
Still cheaper than Ferrari.
