I just bought a 300 E and was wondering whether there was anything i should look out for in the way of faults??? Anything would be much appreciated...

The engine in your car is a M103. Typically, the top end and timing chain needs to be done every 200K miles. Some go more, some go less. It all depends on the maintainance.
