'02 CLK 320 Seat Problem and Sunroof Problem

Since this is my very first post, hello to all!

My problem: I have an '02 CLK 320 and the passenger side seat is stuck in one position. The seat will go in all directions except forward and backwards. When I try to use the door switch to move it, I hear a clicking under the seat but nothing happens. I checked all the wires that I can see when looking under the seat from the front and all looks good. I've tried tapping the motor as well as disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it to let the system reset and no luck there. Any suggestions?

Next problem: The sunroof is working fine in all direstions except occassionally when going to close it all the way, it stops about an inch short. This does not happen everytime, just sometimes. Even when I hold the switch down and give it a little push, it won't shut all the way. Any suggestions on that?

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Dude, the reason why your seat does not move forward and backward is the motors coil is done, as in dead. The sunroof is off track, and needs to be reset. My 01 clk passenger seat died out on me. The reaseon why, is because seemingly the passenger seat is most used, plus everytime you pull the lever on the side of the head rest to let a passenger to the back, notice how it always rolls forward? this is extra use on the motor. Just set it where it does not roll automatically. With respect to the issue, Dude this is the most embarrasing thing when your carrying guest. And my sunroof would not recede. I got prices for the fixes and was at a lost for words....so I decided to take it on myself. I went to a nearby junk yard. I found the same model car as mine. Now there are three motors under the seat. you need the middle motor. thats the one thats goes fwd and bckwd. Its a simple fix. cost: $3.00. time: 11 mins.

hope this work

Is there a manual way to move the seat forward to take the seat out?
