I can't wait to read the answer to this question: Why are you revving your car to 5,000 rpm in neutral?

Mine won't go to 10,000 rpms. Or even close. Is there a problem?

Why would anybody want to rev an unloaded engine that high?

Thanks!

That's the way it's designed--to prevent engine damage from this sort of foolishness or other accidental situations.
