04 E320 Rear passenger ride height issue

I recently purchased a 2004 E320 wagon with 50k miles. Seems to be in excellent condition except that sporadically when I stop the car, the rear passenger wheel has very little clearance. This occurs maybe one of 10 times that I drive it. When it occurs, the rear passenger side will sit 2 inches lower than the driver side. I don't think it's a leak because it does not fall after sitting for a long time/overnight. It either stops down and stays down or 90% of the time stops at normal height and stays even if I don't drive it for a few days. When it is low, it always recovers within 1 drive (not sure how fast). I noticed it happening a few times after going over speed bumps then parking soon after but maybe jsut coincidence. My mechanic found a known issue with my model year and procuction month with a cable which he replaced but it did nothing. Has anyone had this issue?

A corner cannot go down unless some air gets out of the rear air spring. There is only one level sensor at the rear, should not be a sporadic level sensor issue then.

It does not sound like a valve issue if the corner never changes level when the car is parked and I don't think the valve could suddenly let a lot of air off the spring that could not be compensated before ignition is turned off.

What about an air leak at the air spring that only occurs when the suspension is extracted (like just after the speed bump) or a wiring issue preventing the valve to operate when the corner needs to be lifted? I would assume a cluster malfunction indication from the latter though, was the car diagnosed with Star diagnosis tester and did they find any codes?
