Good afternoon all. This is my first post, I did a search and couldn't find the answer I'm looking for. I'm THIS CLOSE (holding fingers real close together) to pulling the trigger on a W123 wagon. I'm looking at one on eBay right now and the rear end is sagging, I'd guess 4-5 inches low. He says it's because there is some weight in the rear (I'd estimate less than 100 lbs). I call phony. He says the car does not have SLS, is there a way I can find this out? I have the VIN # WDBAB93A5CN006518. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a 1985 123 300TDT and it had level control, I think all wagons have/had it. I would think 100 lbs would not cause it to sag, I have had 600 lbs in the back and it would sink 2 inches and rise very slowly when started, you are off on a likely problem issue.

All w123 wagon's came factory equipped with SLS. The seller either doesn't know a thing about these cars or is flat out lying. This one does have SLS still installed, and it needs work. The WVO tank might cause that sort of sagging, especially after the car hasn't been run for a day or two. Still, my guess is something is wrong with the SLS.

Regardless, unless you want an WVO car, find another. The cool things about this particular wagon is the roof rail delete (or maybe they're just gone), and the third row seat.

The WVO is not something I would pay a premium for; quite the opposite actually. Another huge negative for me is the incorrect rear bumper, which screams prior body damage not to mention not road-legal minus back-up lights.

Not worth much more than the current bid IMO.

Inspect it before buying. I know that is sometimes hard on ebay.
On my 1985 wagon -years ago I had the hydraulic hose deteriorating and leaking the suspension fluid out.
Cost me $30 for the hose and $20 for the fluid to fix it.
