Buying 02 CLK 430 coupe
Just LOVE this car but with 99k a little worried about maintenance. Researching little things like changing spark plugs which is due. Doesn't look too hard. Saw something about resetting the computer elsewhere on the net but, I don't think that is necessary (is it?) after a spark plug change. I didn't see an answer to the whole washer crushing and torque setting question on this forum and wish someone would answer that.
All in all this is a very clean car and appears to be very well kept and for $11K a very good value considering the condition. I'm buying it from a dealer and they are backing it as excellent condition although the mechanic notes include lower ball joints need replacing $370 (although it drives perfect) and a washer nossel $110 and a shifter bushing $135. They won't throw in these items and are asking retail KBB. It's cream color and I'm considering naming it Cream Puff (it's for the little lady) but, worried it could become a money pit but, because the dealer is selling it I'm thinking it's good to go.
