e350 4matic 2006
I have experienced the same issue now twice if you can believe it...and on two different 2006 e class sedans.
The first car (before the dealer replaced it for a cracked frame) had a problem intermittently whereby I could hear a squeeking of the brake pad and rotor on the R front wheel. This eventuated in the dealer inspecting the brake and finding UNEVEN wear and grooves on the rotor and pad. They told me i would have to replace the pads and rotors to further diagnose the problem, as they believed a "rock had damaged or grooved it." This cost me nearly $1000 and occurred right after buying CPOd vehicle that supposedly had 90% on brake life at purchase.
they took the car back after much ROman dentistry and harpping on it. Of course this cost me more $$ and I didnt get the brake $ back.
Now after only a week of ownership of this other CPOd eclass, I am intermittently hearing the exact same sqeek (at different speeds, but only detectable when i am going slower with windows down) and it seems to be eminating from the rear axle, likely Left rear wheel.
New rotors and pads on the front, new pads on the rear.
What could be causing this? I do not want to have to replace the brakes on this car all the time and the sound the car makes when this brake squeeling occurs is enough to turn heads and cause canines great concern!! (embarrassing jalopy sound)
Any ideas about the SBC or other brake components that could be causing the unit to not release fully or to engage unevenly on one or more wheels?
Anybody else expereince that squueking with new brakes? thanks in advance
