Washing and detailing

I just got my 03 SLK230 last week. Of course it rained and now she's dirty. I've been searching the web for the best washing products and materials. I don't want scratches. I've never been one to take particularly good care of cars, the regular old mechanical car wash was fine for the Dodge, when it got really dirty :-).

I've read where people use microfiber towels, where they don't use microfiber towels because they scratch, use all cotton towels, but then not all towels are marked properly so they still scratch.

I've read that Maguier products are good. I'd like to get some recommendations from you all as to what products you use. Thanks so much.

This site should be a good starting point, as it has plenty of info on a variety of detaling subjects.

Auto Detailing Facts, auto detailing Tips, How to detailing Guides, how to polish, how to wax, DIY detailing, do it yourself guides

The Benzworld 'Detailing' sub-forum is the place to search, view and ask specific questions on Mercedes Benz vehicles.

Good luck and congrats on your recent SLK purchase.
