Hi there From Warrnambool Victoria in Australia
Hi there, I have just joined the Mercedes Forum site to try and get some help on a Mercedes 220E 1994 model. They are great cars when they work, but boy they certainly are complex when they go wrong (maybe that is with all modern cars now). I am an ex Electronics Enginneer and now teach mainly mathematics at an undergraduate level at our local University.
Not sure where to go from here as there are so many threads, anyway I hope I can help people in some way. I actually bought a fault diagnostic system for a Range Rover from Blackbox Solutions for around $1000, I wish there was a similar device for the Mercedes Range of cars at around that price. It seems to be the worst problems in a modern vehicle are the intermittant problems that usually involve bad electrical connections. The faults are usally simple but finding them can be just so dammed hard even if you have the gear.
