2001 320 CLK Windows and soft top not working

I typically store the CLK over the winter and power it down. I hooked the battery up just now, and found that the windows nor the soft top are operative. The soft top switch is illuminated red.

The fuses are ok.

I took the battery cable off to power down and back up and now the windows and top are working.

I drove around a bit, and again the windows and top are not functioning.

I powered down and back up and it came back?

What is going on? Any advice?

Search the forum for "resync", "re-sync", "sync"... you get the idea. Your car probably just needs those functions reset after having the power disconnected, simple and common. Should only take a minute of your time to get it sorted if this is the issue.
