Smile Hello All

Just a note to all that I am a new Benz owner. I have always owned BMW's and continue to do so. This will be my wife's car and we got a great deal on it. 2006 E350 4-Matic, Green Metallic over Stone interior, Nav, Roof, Leather, Heated Seats, Power Trunk, Bought it used this month with 25k miles and it is nearly perfect both outside and in with a nearly new set of correct Conti-Contact tires. Not bought from a MB dealer, nor is it CPO. Bought it from a private dealer in VA who gets all his cars from the auction in Manheim, PA. Ran an Autocheck and Carfax on it and then took it to the local Mercedes dealer for a Pre-sales inspection ($107.00) prior to buying it. It checked out with just a failed CD-Changer. Bought it for $22,300.00, which I think is more than fair. If I end up spending 2-3k for some unknown problem that crops up, then I still think I'm at least even or better considering the mileage. Let me know what you think.

Care to share details of the dealer? I'm currently looking for an 07-08 E320 Bluetec and would be interested in purchasing through someone who isn't a traditional dealer and will get the cars from Manheim without the huge overhead. I'm located in NoVa, so if the dealer is local, that's even better.

I have to admit that the dealer is somewhat questionable. Our salesperson (the sales manager) is a very nice guy but the dealership is quite small and their practices are somewhat unique. We were even permitted to pay using a credit card for a bulk of the purchase with no upcharges. They provided a CarFax on the car and I went ahead and ran an another Autocheck (24.95) just as a independent check and it matched the Carfax. The dealer also ferried the car over and back to/from Rosner Mercedes where I had made an appointment for a presales inspection. I went through these extra steps because I felt I was getting too good of a deal, which made me suspicious. They claimed that they don't want cars on their lot for very long and they price them agressively. I also did a check on the VA BBB and found they had a terrible rating. When I asked them about it, they said that the previous owner had caused the poor rating and that they were having a hard time clearing the record now that they owned the dealership (taking over at the same address is apparently a problem). Lastly, one reason the car may have been priced well was the color. I believe that most MB buyers want the exterior to be Black, Grey, or Silver, which is the color you see most often. I wanted something different (I usually do) so I was looking for Green with the beige interior.
Send me a personal email and I will respond with the dealer name. Thx.
