Post Rear Cargo (Quarter) window seals

Hi folks, I have a 1992 Mercedes 300TE Wagon. Both the right and left side quarter windows (cargo area) are leaking slightly. I have removed the driver side, cleaned the opening, the window, and the trim. The seal looks pretty good but I'd prefer to replace to make sure I'm getting a tight seal. I have read that sealant/caulking is not necessary. Is this correct? The opening themselves are in pretty good condition, only two small areas of rust that I have corrected (cleaned, evapo rust, and painted with rustoleum). Thanks for any help.

While I don't have an answer to how to put the window back in, I do have a question: How do you remove these windows? I have a 95 E320 and the rear windows leak a little. I see references to cleaning and, perhaps, replacing the seals, but I have no idea how to get the window out in the first place without breaking it. Can you share any tips?
