They are free here and I was encouraged by the SA to bring it in anytime. I also was told the same by the manager of the dealership. The dealership is only 1.9 miles from my home so it would be pretty convenient. However, my car is new and usually I just wash it myself - takes about a hour. We shall see when next winter comes to central Ohio.

Depends on the dealer. I believe mine offers it for free at any time. But then I have to travel 20 miles one way to get to the dealer. Not only that, but say hello to swirl marks and scratches galore. I wouldn't do it even if I lived next to the dealer.

But if you don't care for any of that and just want it washed, go ahead.

In my experience, the dealer washes are never really that good - they leave water streaming, and don't seem to do a thorough job. I know they offer detailing for like $250, so that's obviously different.
